Web12 Apr 2024 · I always start having sex 3-4 days before ovulation and continue for 3 days afterwards. The egg only lives for 12-24 hours so personally I wouldn’t only BD every two days in case I miss it (although apparently sperm can survive for up to five days). I would suggest using a fertility lubricant like preseed.

The first month, I didn't really keep to schedule, needless to fail I wasn't expecting a BFP that month. The next month I followed SMEP to the T! I start with every other day until my peak but because I get a peak for 2 sometimes 3 days it just drags on and on, especially if the day before my peak was a dtd day. Basically it's a plan of BD every other day starting CD8 and using OPKs. Once you get a + BD everyday for 3 days, take one day off and BD one last time. Hoping it works!!!
