Also a high-acid cultivar (average total acidity is 11.9 grams per liter), it is well suited as an off-dry aperitif wine. WebLa Crescent is one of the University of Minnesota’s most popular cold-hardy grapes, with a flavor reminiscent of muscat (likely because it has Muscat Hamburg in its lineage). The fruit has high acidity, and can be used to make off-dry to sweet/dessert and late-harvest wines. Aromas are primarily apricot, peach and citrus.
